Pumpkin Patch

image not foundPumpkin Patch is Aggie Habitat for Humanity's biggest fall fundraiser held annually in October! It all began with setup of the site on Oct. 5 when all the pallets and hay bales were laid out. Next, comes pumpkin delivery where every pair of hands counts; An 18-wheeler arrived Oct. 10 with 2000 plus pumpkins that were sorted and unloaded onto the pallets in the field. This year we sold out of pumpkins in record time. On October 28th (3 days early) the patch closed because we sold out.

During the course of the fundraiser, we will host several special events ranging from pumpkin painting to story telling. Also, many groups from schools and local day cares come out during the day to take advantage of the activities and join in all the fun. The Church will even be hosting an October fest filled with lots of fun and games (even a hay ride!) on Oct. 20.

Sign-ups for this event will be available at our meetings, and there are plenty of spots to go around. As with all out other fundraisers, Pumpkin Patch would not be possible without the tireless hours put in by our members.

Last year we raised over $4600 worth of pumpkin sales which went to building our house here in Bryan, Texas, and we can't wait to make or break that amount this year!

We always look forward to prospective partnerships and public relation opportunities regarding Pumpkin Patch. Please contact either Aaron Edens or Ryan McClaine for information about this special Habitat event.

Location

Our pumpkin patch is at Covenant Presbyterian Church at Rock Prairie and Wellborn. Covenant Presbyterian is always integral in allowing us to use their property every October.
