Point System

In order to encourage the continued participation of Aggie Habitat members, a point system will be utilized to track and recognize member involvement. Points will be recorded throughout each semester. These points will be categorized into Involvement points and Volunteer points.

Volunteer points will be accumulated by participating in builds and volunteering in Aggie Habitat fundraisers. Volunteer points will be awarded on an hourly basis as follows:
• Builds - 3 points per hour
• Aggie Habitat Fundraisers - 2 points per hour

Involvement points will be acquired by participating in meetings, socials and events not run by Aggie Habitat (i.e. Big Event). Involvement points will be awarded as follows:
• Meetings - 2 points
• Socials - 1 point

Other events will be fairly assigned point amounts determined by the nature and length of the event. Certain events may be assigned point values differing from those stated above, only by an affirmative vote of ½ of the Board of Directors.
At the end of the semester, the individuals with the most points in each category will be recognized. Along with receiving recognition, the top members will receive a plaque and a gift from Aggie Habitat. These winners will also be offered the chance to attend the Collegiate Challenge trip at half price.

The point system will only be used for motivational purposes, never will lack of points result in any punitive actions toward a member. Points only serve to recognize outstanding members.
